Coach House Books

Publishing literary fiction, socially conscious nonfiction, innovative poetry, and provocative drama since 1965. Our authors include bpNichol, André Alexis, Christian Bök, Guy Maddin, Tamara Faith Berger, Ken Babstock , Lisa Robertson, and Ian Williams. We also print all of our books in house on Coach House Zephyr Antique Laid paper, which is manufactured, acid-free, in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec, from second-growth forests. We are still located in the original coach house that our founder, Stan Bevington, first began printing in back in ’65, squirrels and all. Our books have won The Believe Book Award, The Scotiabank Giller Prize, The Griffin Poetry Prize, Governor General’s Awards, The Trillium Book Award, The Toronto Book Award, Lambda Literary Awards, and Amazon First Novel Award, among others.
