Jon Scieszka was born in Flint, Michigan. Teaching school, Jon re-discovered how smart kids are, and found the best audience for the weird and funny stories he had always liked to read and write. Jon’s books have won a whole mess of awards, including the 2020 Kerlan Award, and sold over 11 million copies all around the world. His latest book, AstroNuts Mission Two: The Water Planet (Chronicle Books) was published in August of 2020 and Kirkus says it will “delight fans . . . proving silly can still be smart.” Jon lives in Brooklyn with his wife Jeri, their two children, and his many birds and ants.
